Murder investigation launched after man dies in Battersea |

Police were called at 18:14hrs on Monday, 2 March to assist the London Ambulance Service following reports that a man had been stabbed on Thessaly Road. Officers attended with paramedics. A man in his 20s had suffered knife injuries and was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition. Despite the efforts of paramedics and doctors, he was pronounced dead at the hospital. His family are being supported by specialist officers. Two men, aged 28 and 38, have been arrested in connection with the incident. They remain in police custody. A large police cordon has been in place, while enquiries continue. An investigation has been launched by specialist homicide detectives. Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie, who is leading the investigation, said: “This is a deeply tragic incident, and our thoughts remain firmly with the victim’s family during this extremely difficult time. “A homicide investigation has now been launched and we are working urgently to establish the full circumstances surrounding this attack. “We are urgently appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, has information about those involved, or who may have relevant CCTV, doorbell or dash‑cam footage from the area, to contact police.” Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 6165/02MAR, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111. | ||
